Characteristics BENQ GW2790Q 27"

Screen size27 "

Description

The BENQ GW2790Q is a 27-inch standard monitor designed to deliver a consistent and comfortable viewing experience. It features a high-quality IPS LCD panel that supports a QHD resolution, offering a pixel density of 109 pixels per inch for sharp and detailed visuals. With a 100 Hz refresh rate, it ensures smoother motion for everyday tasks and casual use.
Despite its solid display performance, the monitor's color rendering is notably poor, which may limit its suitability for tasks requiring accurate or vibrant color reproduction. The monitor supports 16.7 million display colors, which is typical for general computing needs. It includes integrated stereo speakers for basic audio output, eliminating the need for external speakers in many use cases.
However, the monitor lacks robust connectivity options and advanced features, and may not support a wide range of modern peripherals or settings adjustments. As a result, users may find its functionality somewhat limited beyond basic display needs.
In summary, the BENQ GW2790Q is a 27-inch IPS LCD monitor with a sharp and smooth display and built-in stereo speakers, making it best suited for office work, web browsing, and general computing tasks that don't require advanced color accuracy, connectivity, or specialized features.

Quality

The monitor looks premium and It meets expectations at that price of point (15k) Although if you get more in detail, the pixels in the screen seems blurred, but at 2k quality, you can expect that, Sound is very decent, but i prefer my Macbook speakers anytime or maybe any bluetooth device for audio The auto brightness of monitor works very well. I wouldn't recommend any other brand at that price. It gives you mostly all features. I just had to purchase a monitor arm for this monitor, because it doesn't have height and tilt adjustment; that's the only drawback of it.

Easily the Best 2k display in this range. Will recommend

Amazing display, Color reproduction is amazing No screen bleeding I added this with a wall mount, there is no height adjustments in the base that comes with the monitor. The things that matter to me most are The color accuracy which is on par with my MacBook Pro Display The brightness, which again is more than my MacBook display. It can connect to multiple displays and switching between them is super easy with the button on the bottom, It also has a button for blue light filter intensity, which I think just works fine. I’d say get a software solution for that as the blue light filter on this is not automatic. This is probably the best 2k monitor you can get out there, amazing value if you just want a great 2k display, plus it’s 100Hz I had no problems using this with my gaming CPU Speakers are super bad

Amazon is the worst

Product is good but amazon has the worst service. They refused to take a return because the monitor has a 16amp plug that does not fit in our socket. They are rather okay to take a return of a defective product but not a perfectly okay product

Certainly the best monitor possibly at this price range

I like the overall monitor for it's different modes and the resolution. One particular reason for me to go ahead with this product was 1500:1 contrast ratio. I use a OLED screen laptop and I could immediately notice the difference, other monitors in the similar price range would give you a 1000:1 contrast ratio. I don't understand why BenQ supplies 16A plug with this, I was able to buy one separately for cheap. This monitor does 1440p at 60Hz using HDMI cable, with DP cable it does 1440p at 100Hz, which is fine for gaming also if you are not playing first person shooters. I play RPG games on PS5 and this looked ok. It can do 100Hz at 1080p with hdmi. Overall a pretty good monitor and a very good value for money as a work monitor and casual gaming. I have to give it a 5 star because it is a very good value for money

BenQ Delivers: Stunning 2K Display at an Unbeatable Price!

BenQ monitors have always been reliable, and this 1440p (2K) model is no exception. At this price point, it’s an unbeatable deal from such a reputed brand. The display quality is excellent, with sharp visuals and vibrant colors, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. The delivery was faster than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the product experience. One small thing to note—the monitor comes with a 16A plug, which is larger than the usual switchboard sockets. This might require an adapter or a compatible power outlet. However, considering the performance and quality, it’s a minor inconvenience. Highly recommended!

The best IPS screen I ever had, great constrast, great colors, no bleeding

Exceptional screen quality, no dead pixels, screen bleeding or any dispaly issues at all. I might have gone lucky cuz I've never had an IPS LCD with great contrast and 0 screen bleeding and great colors at all angles. I had a 157 ppi laptop screen in a 14 inch form factor and this one is a 109 ppi QHD screen. The distance from monitor is obviously higher than I had with my laptop so expectedly it looks better than my laptop's (panel also has gotta do with it but unfortunately no panel information is available on web until you get the model, check out display specifications dot com for other features comparison and trust no display is as good as this one at this price (13k with sbi cc). Never get a 1080p screen at this size, QHD is always worth it. Also check out pixel per degree calculator on web to check out what resolution to get depending upon the distance you prefer to sit. 1080p is horrible for a 27 inch screen, and 1440p is in the center ballpark. 4k is great but not anyone can afford it and thats fine. Trust me 1440p is more than enough. Remember I don't game much except the Doom:2016 I tried and it was awesome. I would have got a display with better response time if I needed that. It's good, not great and it doesn't matter for my usages. Get the GB M27q rev 2.0 if you want that, but it's 10k more expensive so that's that. It is slightly wobbly built tho. Not the frame but the monitor stand. Frame is plastic, so not much expected but it's really good nonetheless. I will replace the stand with a monitor arm soon so the issue shouldnt matter much. Get this if you want a great screen. Will update in a few weeks with a long term review.
