I wonder why didn’t they shoot human photos with tele lens? 🙄

Don't they use the ultrawide for macro?

I hope that Google's next periscope camera has much better tele macro capabilities. The periscope camera of my 7 Pro has a minimum focus distance of approximately 85cm.
Also, the Vivo X100 Ultra's periscope camera has an effective lens diameter that is even 55% larger than the effective diameter of the 7 Pro's periscope camera. This means that regarding diffraction, it would theoretically make sense to make a 120mm Quad Bayer periscope camera with even 110 megapixel.

It'd be fascinating to see what Google can do with a 1/1.56" sensor for the UW and telephoto and 1 inch for the main cam. 1k USD for this phone at 128 GB is laughable. But if they made a 1300-1400 USD phone with those specs and a 512 GB base storage or at least 256 GB base storage I think there'd be a strong contender in the camera front.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra's periscope camera has an effective lens diameter that is even 43% larger than the effective diameter of the 7 Pro's 116.5mm 48 megapixel (probably 48.8) camera. This means that theoretically, regarding diffraction, it would make sense to make a (116.5/120)² * 48.8 megapixel * 1.43² = 94 megapixel 120mm camera.
It would be really fascinating to see a 94 megapixel 120mm Quad Bayer camera in the Pixel 9 Pro, but that's just a wish.

My P6 is also performing just fine.
