Description
The HP VICTUS 15-FB0001NP is a 15.6” laptop equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor with a base speed of 3.3GHz, designed to handle daily tasks and moderate gaming. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, featuring a GPU clock speed of 1395 MHz and 4GB of VRAM, supports game play and multimedia tasks, albeit with some limitations in very demanding environments.
This device includes 8GB of RAM, which supports general multitasking. For storage, it comes with a 512GB NVMe SSD, providing quicker access to data and ample space for most users. However, it may fall short for those with significant data storage needs.
The display is an IPS type, known for better color accuracy and viewing angles. However, the overall quality is considered below expectations, with a resolution offering a pixel density of 141 ppi and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. This configuration is less optimal for premium visual experiences but can handle standard viewing needs.
Battery life is listed at 7 hours, but real-world usage may vary, reflecting poorer autonomy which might not be ideal for those who are always on the move. In terms of physical connectivity, the laptop provides a satisfactorily range of ports for peripherals and external displays.
This description outlines the characteristics of the HP VICTUS 15-FB0001NP, emphasizing a mix of moderate performance capacities, particularly suited for casual gaming and everyday computing tasks, but those seeking higher-end display performance or significant storage may need to explore additional options or external solutions.

I am reviewing after 1 year
Victus i5 12-gen 1245H, great laptop for all purpose, specially for coding and running software, it specs is more than enough to run any task smoothly, since it is built for gaming so doing any graphic things like Photoshop is lot more smoother. Display is 144hz and amoled. only downside for coding is screen aspect ratio. Overall great laptop, working as smooth as new after 1yr . One more thing it sucks battery nicely. Hardly last 2.5h of heavy work, 4h movie time

Multiple Major Problem's
Ordered laptop on 19-01-24 and it got delivered on 22-01-24, Right from the time of receiving product I got several issues and in that the major problem was keyboard malfunctioning, heavy battery discharge on standby mode (100% battery gets discharged in less than 50-55 min on idle mode or standby mode), RAM & CPU consumption of above 83%-85% on idle mode or standby mode without running any applications, which is very abnormal for a new laptop and there are many more issues....... & Yes my product is marked as DOA by HP Brand Assigned Technician. & I Appreciate & HP for support

Good Configuration Gaming Laptop
Great configuration for a entry level gaming laptop. Look wise Mica Silver looks great. Weight is 2.3 kgs but that does not matter to me since this is home use only. Keyboard is fantastic, look and feel wise both. I bought this over the HP 15s series purely for a display aspect. 144 Hz refresh rate here vs 60 Hz for others. Amazing display. Drawback I felt after 1 weeks use is battery. With me working on PowerPoint and surfing chrome plus some 30 mins of Fifa, the battery lasts 2.5 hours. Screen is wobbly but does not matter to me since I will be using this only on a table, not holding it in my hand per se. Last 2 points are the drawbacks I saw but both a manageable for me. Rest I am happy with everything I have seen so far

Bought for work, not gaming
I bought this for work (development, coding, R&D) and not for gaming. I use it mostly on a vertical dock, so do not open the laptop. Boot on Lan with external Keyboard, mouse and display. Enjoying on a daily basis. Update after 4 months of regular use Hardware update: bought with 8GB RAM, added 16GB additional Pros: - Powerful processor - Can handle a lot of work - simultaneous running Docker Desktop, multiple instances of Visual Studio, SQL Server - Keeps cool - did not see it heating up - Has dedicated RJ45 for LAN cable Cons: - A little bulky to carry along - Power consumption is high at times - comes with 150W charger/adapter - HP support is pathetic, do not call them unless you are stuck completely - BIOS does not have an option for "Boot on Power" - so need to enable Power-on-LAN and use an external app to boot up if you do not want to open the laptop

great for professionals as well as for gamers.
Plus points about this laptop are:- 1)Powerful latest generation i5 (12450H) processor. 2)sleek and professional design. Sturdy build. Comes with a fast 150watt adaptor. 3)Fast gen 4 SSD. 4)Glare free 144hz display. 5)A powerful enough gpu to play games and render videos. 6)LOUD speakers. I didn't expected this. Although bass is a bit less. 7)Nice keyboard with a separate numpad and powerful enough Back light. 8)Latest wifi version 6E is packed in it. 9)Office 2021 is included for lifetime. 10)Comes at a nice price point. A few cons are:- 1)Upgradability. You won't be able to upgrade ram over 16 Gb and no additional SSD/HDD slot provided. 2)Ports. Even 2021 version has 3 USB A Ports. This one has only 2. 3)Screen wobble is less as compared to 2021 version but is still present. Battery is as much as expected from a gaming laptop. (*) I have an additional complaint against HP. You can't set a maximum charge limit (like 80% or 90%) at which charging would automatically stop. (Asus, lenovo, acer all provide this feature in some way. Even most smartphones support it.) So why a 65k+ laptop can't support it. HP MUST provide that feature if customers want it. FINALLY, How good is it against Asus vivobook pro 15 OLED, as both costs somewhat around the same. ->See if you are going to consume alot of movies, web series, videos etc. on your laptop. Buy Asus eyes closed as the difference in display picture quality is same as the difference between day and night. ->If you want a more powerful laptop. Asus stands nowhere against HP Victus. Its a nice and power packed laptop for students(coders and casual gamers). ->If your main purpose is to play latest game titles on your laptop, then buy HP Pavillion (ryzen 5 5600h, rtx 3050, better 72%ntsc display).
