Amazed

I never thought I would get a monitor this good for the budget I had. 10k and this beautiful piece of tech just doesn't seem right but it is. Clarity, size, colors, connectivity, everything is just superb. Understand one thing. In a budget of 10k, you can definitely not expect, 2k, 4k resolution, 144hz refresh rates or any of the jazz that follows on. You want that, you better shell out more. For this price, it's a bloody banger. Completely satisfied.

Value for money

The screen is good and does its job. I got it in 8000rs. In the initial days, I found that even at a low setting of brightness screen is bright. However, later I found a setting in Color Temp to reduce it further. If you can spend more money then I suggest going for Dell otherwise this screen can also satisfy your requirement.

Good monitor

Monitor does not even power up. I read the manual and connected it to various machines (my laptop, my pc) accordingly. But it just wont start. Poor quality product. Amazon has said we cant help you with the issue so poor quality customer support. Never buying anything from MSI ever again. EDIT - Actually there was nothing wrong with the brand. It's just Amazon which sent me a broken item. This is becoming a pattern now. That the first item will be broken, the replacement item will work fine. Reducing a star because sometimes the monitor just restarts on its own once a day.

MSI Pro MP241 - Simple and Elegent for Everyday use

I recently bought this while building a PC for a Friend. Some Info : 1. 23.8" FHD screen : 1920 x 1080 res. 2. IPS grade panel screen What I liked : 1. Very thin bezels. 2. Vertical Angle physically adjustable. 3. VESA mountable with 75x75 mounts. 4. All connectors plug in vertically, allowing use of Low profile wall mounts. 5. Monitor is very light. 6. Colours look very good, Not overly bright. 7. Price : I got it near 9k INR Points which could be improved : 1. Only HDMI and VGA connectors. Should have an additional DP or DVI connector. 2. I would've liked the buttons on the side or bottom edge. They are on the side grove at the back. 3. Audio Out to attach Speakers or Headphone when using HDMI could be a value addition. 4. Being in 'Professional' series, It could be a plus to have a USB 2.0 hub in built. Base for Comparison : I have a ASUS BE24AQLB 24.1" IPS Monitor and a Asus VS239HV 23.5" LED Monitor. Former is a 'Professional' series monitor which is priced more than MSI PRO MP241 and fills up the points I mentioned above. It has some more extras but higher price too. Other one, it's kind of bulky design, MSI PRO beats it. I wouldn't ask for lower response time or high refresh rate as MSI PRO MP241 is not for gaming BUT very good for this price. Verdict : For General / Everyday / Office use, It's very nice.

Monitors shouldn't be compared just on paper. Real life usage matters.

The colour accuracy is really great. Looks great with narrow bezzles. On paper, the brightness might be just 220 nits (theoretically lesser than its competitors). But upon using it, i found the brightness to be just perfect in a well lit room too. Good for professionals (CAD, 3D or photoshop work) as it boasts of 103 percent sRGB. (I didn't need a monitor for gaming which was above 60hz so this was just perfect for my use case) The only downside is that the plug/power cord provided within the box has a chinese plug head which means some of you would need a connector/spike guard to power it on. I didn't have that problem as my switch board has modular switches so it easily plugs in. The backlight bleed is negligible. Nothing to worry about there. Generally you get deep blacks with led displays and not ips displays. But believe me, while using this ips monitor, you won't feel anything odd. For it's price, it is offering much more than what you pay for. The height isn't adjustable but frankly, thats not something you do on a day to day basis. It has tilt option though. This 24 inch monitor has a standard height for itself which is perfect in terms of ergonomics. Overall i am totally satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect first professional monitor for designers and creators

I bought this monitor purely for the colour accuracy and I wasn't disappointed at all. It looks, feels, and works like a professional monitor right out of the box. It boasts of a 103% sRGB rating and is pretty much accurate. Aa a designer, I use it primarily for graphic designing and rendering applications. The brightness is perfect for an office or home setting. It has advanced options for setting up colour profiles if required. The only thing that could have been better was the contrast ratio. This monitor has the standard ratio of 1000:1. If it was 3000:1 it would have certainly been better but the panel technology won't allow for that I believe. Overall it's a great beginner monitor for professional and at this price (INR 9k) this is one of the best out there.
