Description

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 is a smartphone equipped with a variety of features suitable for everyday use. It operates with an 8GB RAM configuration, enhancing multitasking and app performance to a satisfactory level. The phone is designed to handle daily tasks efficiently, serving well for users looking for a functional device.
In terms of camera and battery life, the Redmi Note 12 performs competently. It comes with a satisfactory camera setup that supports basic photography needs, and a battery capacity of 5000mAh that ensures decent endurance throughout the day under normal usage.
The device offers a generous storage capacity of 256GB, which is good for storing a substantial amount of data including apps, music, videos, and photos. However, it does not support wireless charging, but it includes NFC capabilities which facilitates contactless payments and easy connectivity with other NFC-enabled devices.

Although the display quality is noted as being below expectations, the overall design of the smartphone is rated as good, offering a solid and aesthetic look and feel.
This model might appeal to users looking for a well-rounded smartphone with ample storage, functional performance, and modern connectivity features, all without the premium price tag associated with higher-end models.

Unbelievable slow with too many problems.
Probably the worst phone that Xiaomi has released.
I don't recommend it at all.

Pros:
Good oled screen
paid one hundred for it

Cons:
- The first of many but undoubtedly the biggest as it renders the phone unusable is aggressive memory management. Need to get a password from a reset email forget it, web page dumped from memory as soon as you leave Chrome. Need a security code to compete an online shopping transaction, forget it, web page dumped from memory. Need to follow an online auction, forget it as page refreshes don't happen. The phone is useless.
- design: volume and power buttons placed for left handed users which is crazy. Single speaker is covered by your finger when you hold it in your left hand as a right handed user.
- sound: worst sound from any phone I've ever had in over 20 years of smart phones even when you contort your grip to not cover the speaker.
- speed: this phone stutters even playing candy crush, I suspect this is RAM related as my last phone had a notionally much older and worse processor and was fine with such a basic app. Basic browsing tasks are frequently interrupted by "chrome is not responding" again this is likely RAM related.
- camera: the camera is fine(ish) until you have something to compare it to. The issues are likely software related, the Mi camera app is extremely poor as the sensor is actually quite capable. I tried the phone with a port of Google camera and the photos were outstanding but unfortunately the app struggled to run on the phone.
- MiUI OS: buggy, settings are all over the place, Chinese apps (like the included browser) cannot be removed at all without rooting the phone which would void the warranty. These take up a surprising amount of space.
- battery life: notionally the 5000mah battery should be good but it isn't, moderate mixed useage will require charging 2 or more times per day in my experience. I think the phone is running hard to do even basic stuff and this is scuppering the battery life.

I really wanted to like this phone, especially at the bargain price I paid but in all honesty it is hopeless for everyone but the very lightest of users. The issues are, in my opinion, related to the 4gb of RAM which it would seem is simply not enough to allow smooth operation. I can only assume that the outstanding reviews are either people with no frame of reference or are fictional. If you are considering buying this phone then my advice is, simply, don't. Indeed the ironically named "Hyper OS" is so frustrating in every day usage I would not recommend Xiaomi at all to anyone. I can't even sell the thing without taking a huge loss as Xiaomi have destroyed the second hand market by dumping all the unsold handsets at next to nothing prices. avoid avoid avoid

I will not recommend xiomi note 12.... Though it is beautifully designed, a nice smart phone, with a good battery but only for 2 months, after this the battery drains quickly and secondly....only one time it fell from my hand on a floor, I was walking, it's screen got damaged and I had to buy another phone.....I used this phone only for 5 months just ....I do not recommend this phone ...
