Description
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is a smartphone that was introduced with a focus on delivering essential mobile functions. It comes equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which may offer acceptable performance for everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing, and light app usage. However, storage options are limited and may require external solutions for users with greater digital storage needs.
The display quality is below average, offering a viewing experience that may not meet the expectations of users seeking high-definition visuals. Design-wise, the Redmi S2 features a basic aesthetic and build quality.
Camera performance is suboptimal, making it less suitable for users who prioritize photography. The device includes a 3080 mAh battery, which tends to deliver less-than-ideal autonomy, often requiring charging before the end of a typical day.
The Redmi S2 does not support wireless charging, NFC, or 5G connectivity, aligning it with more basic smartphone capabilities. It may serve adequately for users with minimal performance requirements and no need for advanced hardware features.

This is the most good product in the world! It was broken seven times and I kept it for 7 years! You must buy it! Apple is bad I think Steve Jobs should work on.

A complete package
I got the Y2 right on the day when it went for sale for the first time and I have used it as my daily driver for like 3 weeks and this review will be my overall experience with the Y2 for those 3 weeks. As amazon reviews go, let's split it into pros and cons. PROS : * When it comes to any gadget, I first see the design & build and if it is not good, then I would slightly hate that product no matter how it performs. In that area, the Y2 didn't disappoint me at all. It looks slick and the build is also premium. When you pull it out of our pockets, no one around would be able to guess that the Y2 is a budget smartphone. That's how rich it looks like. The back is not metal though, still it is one good looking and neatly build phone. * I am a huge fan of AMOLED displays and I am currently using a galaxy S9 which holds the greatest of all displays. SO the IPS display of the Y2 didn't please me enough, but it is not a ₹60k smartphone and for the price tag the Y2 holds a great display. If you're a large display fan then the 6" display would amaze you for sure. * The SD 625 SoC paired with 3 Gigs of RAM never hesitates even a bit when it comes to performance. I am a heavy user and I switch between intense apps now and then and I have never faced any major hiccups with the Y2. It shows a slight scroll lag when multiple apps are running in the background, but that is totally negligible. * With every one going after "chicken dinners" now, the Y2 is a perfect fit for budget mobile gaming. The 625 with the Adreno 506 renders every pixel perfectly as you'd expect. I have played a lot of PUBG battles and I have experienced no frame drops or lags or anything. One important thing to be noted here is that even while playing intense games, the Y2 barely heats up. I intentionally tried stressing the Y2 to test whether it is overheating or not and to my surprise with all those stressing the temps hardly raised more than a few Celsius. * This is a camera centric phone and both the rear & the front camera does an wonderful job with snapping pics. The rear camera's portrait mode works like a charm even with complex subjects. The 16MP front camera is also a good companion for selfie lovers. * One thing Xiaomi always does the best is the battery. I am a YT reviewer and I test a lot of things including how long it takes to drain the whole battery. I really had a very hard time draining the Y2's battery all the way to 0%. I tried playing PUBG for like 30 mins, playing music for more than an hour and doing all those crazy things and finally the battery drained from 100 to 0 after 8 long hours. SO a big 5 star badge for the battery performance. CONS : * I used the OnePlus one for 2 years and the nexus 6P for one year and for me stock android is the favorite one. So, the MIUI is not my cup of tea. I don't hate it, still I like the look and feel of stock android and the highly polished MIUI doesn't have an aesthetic appeal. * A phone can't have 5 start badge on everything and the Y2 looses it's place with the speaker. It holds a downward facing stereo speaker and the speakers doesn't give true stereo feel. It is loud enough, but loudness is not the only thing which makes a speaker good. The audio is flat with no ups and downs which spoils the music listening experience. SO if you are a huge audiophile who is looking for a crystal clear musical experience, then the Y2 might disappoint you. Anyway, you can pick up the Mi Compact 2 for just ₹800 to solve this issue :p. My overall opinion is that the Y2 is for sure a complete package which holds everything good and it does all of that for just ₹10k. Of course the speaker is not good, but that doesn't keep me away from recommending the Y2 to people who ask me to suggest a good budget phone. I do the same here too... If you're looking for a good looking and good performing budget phone which is a great zombie apocalypse companion with it's breath taking battery performance, then the Y2 is a worthy option to look for. I have an in-depth YT review video of the Y2 covering every nook and corner of the phone. So if you're interested, then here's the channel name - 'itassistors' . Just quit thinking too much and get this phone already :p

Good Price and Better performances
Redmi Y2 smartphone which comes under your budget 10000, Good smartphone according this pice Pros: Gorgeous Display Great Camera Quality under daylight conditions Excellent Battery Backup No lag while multi-tasking and gaming Fast and Accurate Face unlock Dedicated sim slot Light weight Cons: No fast charging Ratings: Design: 8.9/10 Display: 8.9/10 Sound: 9/10 Battery: 9/10 Back Camera: 9.5/10 Front Camera: 9.3/10 Processor: 9.5/10 Call Quality: 8.9/10 Face Unlock and Fingerprint: 10/10 Sound from Speakers: 9.5/10 Pricing: 10/10 Overall Rating: 9.3/10 Deailed Review: So here's what you get inside the box: 1. Handset 2. Charger (5V, 2amps)[ A fast charger must be given with this model, but they provide only 2Amp charger but still gives a very fast speed of charging ] 3. USB charging cable(very short & of good quality(design), gives a very good speed of charging) 4. Sim ejector pin 5. A transparent soft case[ Thanks to Xiaomi , almost saved my 300 Rs.(original Mi soft cover) ] Design: It looks very decent. The design of the phone is good. I like the 2.5D glass on the front which gives it a premium look. It is easier to hold because of the smaller width but due to extra length, it will be difficult to hold it through one hand to go to the top of screen. Overall the design is good and I would give it 8.7/10. Display: The display is large 5.99 inch with 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. The display is beautiful and sharp. The viewing angles are good and it is sufficiently bright for read properly under sunlight. Display Rating: 8.9/10 Sound: The sound output from speakers is excellent. The speakers are loud and clear. Xiaomi has made great improvement here compared to previous Redmi y1 The sound output from 3.5mm headphone jack is good. The call quality and clarity was great as well both on earphones. Battery: The battery lasted for 1.5 days with medium to heavy usage. SOT( Screen On Time) was more than 8 hours which is excellent. 10/10 Camera: 12MP+5MP Dual Rear Camera Pictures are really great and can comete with Oneplus 5T and oppo's real me 1. Pictures have plenty of details and very sharp. Portrait mode is awesome. 16MP AI Front Camera with Flash Great pictures & beautify effect works well. The front camera also has a portait mode and gives a nice blur effect. Front flash was useful in low light conditions and improved selfie quality. Face Unlock: Face unlock is awesome. It registered face data very quickly. it is working great. I tried it with 2-3 other people and they were not able to open the phone. It is quick(unlocks in less than a second.) Overall, Redmi y2 is an excellent value for money device with good looks, great camera, long battery life, powerful chipset. I don't think we will see a better smartphone under 10000 Go for it if your budget is 10000. Thanks for reading.

DECIBEL
A mobile phone, is less of a luxury and more of a necessity (Common Knowledge). Having used 3 Samsung, 1 Microsoft phone, switched on to Redmi Y2 in 2018, have been using it and have been to the workshop only once. This is the best phone so far, value is appropriate, built is good (I am a rough user, the delicate darlings don't survive) it has fallen multiple times, yet works without any flaw. No, complaints as such. Now the battery needs to be recharged multiple times as it has grown weak. A great phone, if I buy a new phone it will be a Redmi only. Thank you to the developer , creator, of Redmi. Great Going !!
